My dear fellow G7 protesters: an urgent request
You might have wondered why Japanese people were so shy and quiet when you came to Sapporo last year. You must have seen injustice everywhere, and kept asking this question: OMG, this is such a terrible society, why wouldn't you overthrow your gorvernment?
I have an immediate answer: we were waiting for the right moment. One should act at the right moment and one should keep his mouth shut at all the other moments; the game would be over in less than a moment, otherwise. There are two kinds of things here in Japan: things one can do and things one cannot. In between, there is a border. And if there's one thing the Japanese Left are good at, that's policing that border. We are always on the watch. If someone deviates just an inch on purpose or otherwise, we get united to crush her. Why? Because we have something to protect. Or because it's not the moment yet. This may sound like a joke, but I'm serious. If you find any injustice and try to raise that issue, of course, the police will police you. But before that happens, you will be policed by your comrades. Sounds exciting? If so, then I dare you to participate, to get involved. You can find all sorts of contradictions in this country, and those contradictions come dialectics-free. Which means, your tiny action will probably make a huge difference because self-proclaimed leftists are so busy surpressing activism that they don't have time for activism.
So that's Japan. But today, someone started a revolution. No one is sure if that's the right move, where it will lead us, or how we should lead it. Maybe it was too early. It is too late now, however. There's no turning back. If we did not participate in what has been begun, there'd be no more moments even if this wasn't the right one. For he rolled the dice, the dice we so cherished that we were scared shitless to touch it. I don't know his reasons or rationalization. I just know he is the one. Ladies and gentlemen, comrades and enemies, allow me to present the one.
His name is Shoichi Nakagawa. Just to provide one more bit of relevanet information, he is a niito. What is a niito? That's someone who acts as if the revolution had already taken place. Also, niito are indifferent to the border, a border, any border. That irritates those who believe themselves to be leftists and yet act like facists. But who cares? Niito shall win.
As was the case with Che, the revolutionary is in trouble. I personally believe this is the single most important issue for anarchists, marxisits, stalinists, green people, feminists, etc. And it is urgent. Let us defend him. Today, we are all Shoichi Nakagawa. I am a Shoich. You are a Shoichi. We stand up for ourselves by standing up for him, as him.
I have to apologize, as I lied in the title. This is not a request, because you are a revolutionary, and no revolutionary accepts a request; she just acts.
But I cannot but ask. Please watch the video again. Again and again, if that's possible. Isn't this wonderful? Imagine just for a fraction of a moment, what if everyone started to act like this. Here you go, that's my dream, your dream, our dream.
I officially announce that, as of today, the revolution has started. It was initiated by a niito, and he is about to be crushed. What would freedom mean if we remained silent this time?
